The Ledger Nano S Hardware Wallet is one of the best and most secure Bitcoin wallets on the market. Whether you want to get into crypto and find your best first wallet or if you already own coins and want to move them to a secure wallet, the Ledger Nano S could be the perfect solution for you.
The Ledger Nano S is a Bitcoin, Ethereum and Altcoins hardware wallet designed for the secure storage of cryptographic assets and the secure transaction of digital payments.
It can be easily connected to any computer (USB) and embeds a secure OLED display. Each transaction can be checked and confirmed with a single t on the buttons on the side.
Ledger Nano S includes Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Ethereum Classic Companion PS, and other blockchain-based cryptocurrencies, so you are covered when you own the most popular and significant crypto coins.

How safe is the Ledger Nano S?
The Ledger Nano S is without a doubt the most secure hardware wallet I’ve tested, and it takes first place by far on my list of secure wallets.
The Nano S uses two physical buttons to protect you from accidentally sending cryptocurrency. The first button is used to confirm transactions and the second button to cancel.
If you try to send cryptocurrency while your wallet is not unlocked, the Nano S will display a warning message asking you to check your settings. The Nano S also supports a so-called passphrase, which is not identical to a PIN code. The passphrase is a 24-word phrase that you can set up when you set up your wallet. The passphrase is used to protect your wallet when you are not using it. So if your device is stolen, it cannot be used without the passphrase. You can also create a 24-word recovery phrase that can be used to recover your wallet if you lose it.

How do you secure the Ledger Nano S wallet?
In order to secure the Ledger Nano S wallet, you will need to use your 24-word recovery phrase. The Ledger Nano S recovery phrase is the only way to access the wallet. Hence, it is necessary to write down the 24-word recovery phrase on the recovery sheet that came in the box when you received your Ledger Nano S.
To write the 24-word recovery phrase, you need to put the correct order of the words in the order in which they were given on the recovery sheet. When you write them down, make sure that you write them down in the correct order.
Important: The Ledger Nano S recovery phrase should be written down and kept in a safe place so that it is not lost. Never give it to anyone. Beware of scammers and phishing attacks over email that may ask you for it. Ledger will never ask you for the seed code.
Make sure it is kept safe. This is the only way to recover your account if you lose your Ledger Nano S or get a new device. Suppose you lost your Ledger Nano S and you haven’t written down the Ledger Nano S recovery phrase or transferred your cryptocurrencies to another device or wallet. In this case, you will permanently lose your cryptocurrencies. I strongly recommend using a seed plate that you can purchase from Ledger store or directly from Amazon. What I love about these seed plates is that they protect your 24 words from water or fire incidents.

The Ledger Nano S vs. Trezor One
The following information will give you a much better understanding of how the Ledger Nano S compares to the Trezor One: (Please also read our full review of the top crypto wallets and the Trezor hardware wallet in particular)
The Nano S is thinner, lighter and looks slimmer than the Trezor One.
The Nano S is also smaller than that Safe one. It has a higher resolution display but it has a smaller screen size. The Nano S only has one on / off button, while the Trezor One has two buttons. The Nano S has a micro USB port for both data transfer and power supply, while the Trezor One has a full-size USB port for both data transfer and power supply. Both devices come with software but are different.
The Nano S has a P called “Ledger Manager”, with which the native applications of the Nano S are installed. It also enables firmware updates. The Trezor One has the „Trezor Manager” software. This software has a similar purpose to the Nano S, but it supports more different cryptocurrencies.
Overall, I would recommend choosing the Ledger Nano S over the TREZOR ONE. However, both are great crypto wallets, and you can’t go wrong with either.
The Ledger Nano S vs. The Ledger Nano X

The Nano X is the newest Offer from the Ledger team. Both devices have support for most of the same cryptocurrencies, but the Nano X has some additional features. It has a bigger screen, two buttons, but no micro-USB port. However, it has a USB-C port that can be used for power or data transfer. The Nano X also has a touchscreen that the Nano S doesn’t have.
The Nano X has a significantly longer standby time than the Nano S because it has a rechargeable battery. Another thing is that the Nano X can be charged using USB-C, while the Nano S uses a standard micro USB cable.
Nano X has a multi-colored LED that indicates when it is being used, when it is in standby mode, and when an error occurs. It also supports FIDO2, which is a security protocol that can be used to log into websites and PS. The Nano X also has a desktop p, unlike the Nano S. Finally, the Nano X has a native p called “Blockchain” and there is a web version of the p. The blockchain p enables the user to easily manage his cryptocurrencies. The Nano X also supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin SV, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Diamond, Litecoin, and Dash.
