ASUS – Eee Pad Transformer: tablet or laptop? Both!

ASUS – Eee Pad Transformer
Asus releases EEE Pad Transformer – a tablet that can easily become a laptop. From its name I can only assume the concept was broadly based on the hit Transformers.

Little Bumblebee here is very light and has a super slim profile. The gadget features an NVIDIA Tegra 2 1.0GHz dual-core CPU for easy multitasking, 1080p video playback and high-speed web browsing. Its HDMI 1.3a port makes it possible for the Transformer to be plugged in into a 5.1 surround sound system or HDTV to enjoy the full cinematic experience.

Configured with the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system with Adobe Flash 10.2 support, the tablet has a 9,5 hour life span. What’s so special about it? The Transformer becomes more than a face in the crowd the moment you find out it features an optional docking station. Bumblebee can transform into Optimus Prime, a full blown laptop with a regular keyboard that has unique Android Function keys. The battery life is also increased, up to 16 hours.

All these mentioned aspects make the Eee Pad Transformer an ultraportable, user friendly and awesome computer that will surely make an impact on the market.

The Transformer will be available online after mid-April.
